Belarus' consulate opens in Marseille

An honorary consulate of Belarus has opened in Marseilles.

It is the second largest city in France and one of the most economically developed. The Honorary Consulate will cover several departments of Provence.

Fabrice Raoul, an influential businessman and expert in the fashion world, will represent Belarus' interests on the Cote d'Azur.

He has received the Belarusian flag, the coat of arms and the exequatur of the President of Belarus. The official inauguration ceremony was attended by business circles, diplomats, representatives of the diaspora.

Honorary consuls traditionally develop cooperation in the economy, culture and other spheres, and also provide assistance to the citizens of the state they represent.
