National Airport Minsk now serves over 4 million passengers a year

On December 19, Flight B2-940 from St. Petersburg arrived at the Minsk National Airport. Vsevolod Belyaev became a four-millionth passenger whom the airport accepted in 2017.

Vsevolod Belyaev was born and lives in Belarus. His work is connected with the countries of the former Soviet Union and Cental Asia. In an interview with BelTA, he said that this year he flew 205 times.

Deputy Director of the Department of Aviation Artem Sikorsky said that in November 2016, the airport received a three millionth passenger.

"This is a significant increase. Our aviation is growing at a faster rate than in the whole world," said Artem Sikorsky.

Dmitry Melikyan, director of the National Airport, said that in 2018 the passenger flow of the airport will increase by 10-15%.

"We believe that the new airlines that will come will bring us their passenger flow," said the airport director.
