Belarus, Russia to hold annual near-border forums

Belarus and Russia intend holding near-border forums on law support of business cooperation. It is planned that the two countries will be holding the forums in turns. This decision was made during the 53rd session f Parliamentary Assembly of Belarus and Russia in Bryansk (Russia).

The two sides are hoping that holding such forums will make the cooperation between Belarus and Russian closer and more efficient. The speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin said that such forums will help both Belarus and Russia to better understand the situation In the near-border zones of the two countries.

“We could even hold such a forum next year”, says Vyacheslav Volodin.

“It will allow us to understand what decisions should be initiated for our relations to become stronger and what would make the law systems of Belarus and Russia closer, and so that integration connections would develop”.

It is expected that legislators of different levels from both Belarus and Russia, experts, businessmen, representatives of industrial and agricultural sectors will be taking part in the near-border forums.
