Polish consulates to issue about 400,000 visas to Belarusians in 2017

In 2017, Polish consulates will issue about 400,000 visas to Belarusians, said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Belarus Konrad Pawlik.

"It will be clear in about two weeks whether we will have the same number of visas as last year or their number will increase," the diplomat explained.

Polish and Schengen visas are issued in 12 centers in Belarus: three consulates (Grodno, Brest and the consular department of the Polish Embassy in Minsk), eight visa centers, and the Latvian consulate in Vitebsk.

Pawlik said the Polish side seeks to issue more and more multiple and long-term visas. According to him, demand for Polish visas is growing throughout Belarus.

"This, of course, makes us happy. If you recall, in the previous years, obtaining a visa, including in the Polish consulate general, was more difficult," he added.
