Four Belarusian cities among the most polluted places on Earth

American experts conducted research and named the most polluted cities in all countries of the world, reports greenbelarus.info with reference to the Daily Mail.

It's worth noting that overall pollution in Belarus is lower than in Poland, but higher than in Russia and Latvia and Estonia.

The list of Belarus' most polluted cities includes four: Gomel, Zhlobin, Minsk and Mogilev.

The pollution level in Belarus is identical to that in Central and most of Western Europe.

Judging by the map, the level of pollution varies depending on the density of the population of cities. For example, in India and China, the dirtiest on the map, cities with the largest number of inhabitants have the highest level of pollution.

The map was created thanks to information from Carbon Monitoring for Action (CARMA), which has information on carbon emissions of more than 60,000 power plants and 20,000 energy organizations around the world.
