First ever electricity-based house to be built in Belarus

The first ever house were all the communications will function by means of electricity will be built for the worker of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus.

This was said by the chief of energy security department of the Institute of Energy of the National Academy of Sciences.

“We have begun working on a pilot project on building a fully all electric house. By mean of eliminating expensive communications, this house will cost about 15% less than a residential house built in a new area”.

The project of this house will be presented in 2018, and in 2019 it will be built in the southern area of Minsk. Due to the fact that a Nuclear Power Plant is currently being built in Belarus, it is panned that

in 2018 the majority of residential houses will be built where electricity will be used for heating, water supply and cooking food.

In the period of 2018-2020, 3.5 million square meters of housing will be built annually.

According to the calculations of the Energy University, if at least half of these houses will be built, the annual growth of the consumed electricity will sum up to about 200 million kilowatt-hour.
