Belarus, EU to coordinate infrastructure projects

Several infrastructure projects may be coordinated in the nearest time with the EU within the Eastern Partnership. This was stated by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus.

Oleg Kravchenko also stressed that the EU initiative is becoming more depoliticized and pragmatic. It allowed Belarus and the European Union to enter the final stage of coordinating the priorities of partnership.

The corresponding document may be signed in the first half of 2018. It opens access to financial instruments which the EU will implement within the Eastern Partnership.

Oleg Kravchenko, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
The dialogue of Belarus and the EU has entered a new level. The definition of “Eastern Partnership” is changing in Brussels. Therefore, I hope that we will agree on two-three infrastructure transport projects between Belarus and the EU. We only need time to realize these projects.

Belarus and the EU are ready to begin the negotiations on a framework agreement. Nevertheless, there are no concrete agreements on their start.
