Belarus official days-off calendar 2018

Belarusian authorities often move working days that are between weekend and a public holiday. For example, if a holiday is celebrated on Tuesday, than it often happens that Monday of that week is also declared a day-off and this work day is moved to a Saturday within the same week or month.

Here is a 2018 calendar of working days that will be moved due to public holidays in Belarus.

January 2 (becomes day off) -> work day moved to January 20 (reason: January 1 is New Year Day)

March 9 -> March 3 (why: March 8 is Women’s Day)

April 16 -> April 14 (April 17 is Radonitsa Day)

April 30 -> April 28 (May 1 is Labor Day)

July 2 -> July 7 (July 3 is Independence Day)

December 24 -> Saturday December 22 (December 25 is Catholic Christmas)

December 31 -> December 29 (December 31 is between weekend and New Year Day 2019, which is why it’s convenient to transfer this day to a previous Saturday).

Of course, some organizations, depending on their work, can choose to ignore this calendar, taking into account the legislation.
