Sasnovich ends 2017 as Belarus' No.1 in WTA ranking

Aliaksandra Sasnovich, 23, has replaced Aryna Sabalenka as the Belarus' No.1 in the WTA ranking.

Romanian Simona Halep ended the 2017 season as world No.1 in the WTA. Aryna Sabalenka, Belarus' second best player, lost 17 notches in a week.

Update November 26:

After a singles win at the L&T Mumbai Open, Aryna Sabalenka, 19, regained the title of the top tennis player of Belarus raising to 73rd place, her highest WTA place ever. Sabalenka and Sasnovich are both leaders of the Belarusian national tennis team, in the absence of star Victoria Azarenka, who is not in child custody dispute with the father of her child. Azarenka promised to return in January 2018 for the Auckland tournament.
