Belarus waiting for German investors in Great Stone park

Belarus is opening a new page of relations with Germany, aimed at a better direction, said on November 17 President Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany. Sigmar Gabriel has been in this position since January.

The parties do have something to discuss. Germany is one of the key foreign trade partners of Belarus. It takes the fourth place in terms of turnover. The products of Belarus' forest industry and wood processing are well known in Germany. Belarus' import has clear investment character.

In 2016, $100 million of German investment was attracted to the Belarusian economy. One of the significant joint projects is the construction of a yeast plant in Slutsk.

The industrial park "Great Stone" is expecting German residents.

In addition, Germany can play a big role in the development of modern history. Alexander Lukashenko notes the country's contribution to the conflict settlement in Ukraine.
