Turkish investors interested in poultry production in Belarus

Turkish investors plan to build poultry farms in Belarus, said Belarus' Minister of Agriculture and Food Leonid Zayats at a press conference on November 15.

"Recently, representatives of the Turkish business visited Belarus and examined the territories of Kopyl, Kletsk regions for the construction of poultry farms.

They want to produce broiler meat. They need an area of about 30,000 hectares. It is planned that the products will then be exported," Leonid Zayats said.

There is also great interest on the part of Chinese investors. "Now a Chinese company is exploring the Vitebsk region: the Senno and Chashniki districts, to build dairy-commodity complexes there for 40,000 head. It is planned to arrange the production of milk, its processing at the enterprises of the Vitebsk region and export of these goods to the Chinese market," the minister underlined.
