Poland and Belarus to create meat processing joint ventures

Interest in Belarus is growing on the part of Polish business. Joint ventures for processing meat may help accelerate the growth of trade turnover between our countries.

Such opportunities are discussed by the business community.

The task is to achieve a level of mutual trade of $4 billion. While the main Polish export items are fruits and vegetables. Belarus, in turn, exports potash fertilizers and timber.

Jacek Bogucki, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland:
History shows that the initial stage of free trade relations is always difficult. But then it positively affects the economies. We saw this on the example of commodity exchange with Germany, when in the beginning there was a very large flow of goods to the Polish side, but then these flows balanced each other, and now everyone makes money on this.

Today Poland is one of the three main trade partners of Belarus and is the fourth largest investor in our country.
