Sabalenka nominated for WTA's Breakthrough of the Month

The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has nominated the Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka for the title "Breakthrough of the Month".

In October, Sabalenka played her first final at the WTA tournaments, but lost to Russian Maria Sharapova at the tournament in Tianjin.

By the way, in October 2017, Sabalenka became number 1 in Belarus, taking 78th place in the WTA rating.

She leapfrogged Aliaksandra Sasnovich, with whom she will compete for the Fed Cup 2017 title in the final against the USA.

Sabalenka is competing for the Breakthrough of the Month title with Russian Natalya Vikhlyantseva (54) and Germans Carina Witthöft (51) and Julia Görges (14).
