Victoria Azarenka to miss Fed Cup 2017 final

The unsolved family problems have probably not allowed the Belarusian tennis player to come to Minsk and help her team. The Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka won’t be playing in the Fed Cup final against team USA.

At the beginning of October, the chairman of the Belarusian Tennis Federation Sergei Teterin announced that Victoria Azarenka is preparing for an important match, which will be held at Chizhovka Arena on 11-12 of November.

He also added that the arrival of Victoria in Minsk depends on the results of one of the hearings on guardianship over her son Leo, which should have taken place on October 12.

On Wednesday the captain announced Belarus' squad for the Fed Cup match against the USA.

Aryna Sabalenka, Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Vera Lapko and Lidya Marozava made it into the team.

Stars Victoria Azarenka and Olga Govortsova won’t be taking part in the matches.

The Fed Cup final will be held on the courts of Chizhovka Arena. The opening ceremony and two singles will be held on November 11, and two singles and one doubles will be held on November 12.
