Belarus to get another Tor-M2 defense system from Russia

The Belarusian army is strengthening its defensive capacity. A new battery of the Tor-M2 surface-to-air system will be delivered to Belarus. New armament will come under the agreement with Russia on the development of military-technical cooperation.

Tor-M2 is capable of hitting enemy aircraft, guided missiles and other elements of precision weapons. The key features of the complex are high maneuverability, sniper accuracy and the ability to fire on the move.

Igor Golub, commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus:
As part of our military-technical cooperation with the Russian Federation, another contract was signed for the delivery of the 5th battery of Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system to our Armed Forces. With the arrival of the 5th Tor battery, we increase the combat potential of anti-aircraft missile forces and reliably protect our sky.

The first batteries of the anti-aircraft missile system Tor-M2 arrived in Belarus in 2011. During this time they have repeatedly confirmed their combat effectiveness at military training grounds.
