Why can’t Belarus use foreign experience to maintain communal facilities?

The task of the seminar is to determine the directions of the utility services’ development. Not only Belarusian, but foreign experience is in the foundation of the movement.

It would be wise to “adopt” successful decisions.

Gennady Kalenov, CEO of the International Association of Real Estate Management:
Adopted European practice has been implemented in China for several decades now. The idea of this practice is in setting up maintenance rules of communal facilities of a certain house or a household till the first apartment is bought. When buying accommodation, the responsibilities to observe these rules will be fixed by a notary officer (for instance, not to do any internal refurbishment) and to make all the payments for the support of the communal facilities, which will be foreseen by the rules.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
In some time we may reach this. However, not today, though, and not even tomorrow. This is what distinguishes the Belarusian model from a foreign one.

I often say it simply: everyone can moan, “We don’t earn much” and so on.

Please, here is not $500 for you, but $1000-but pay for everything. Kindergarten, school, education and 100% of the utility services. And then we will see who will benefit out of it. Why compare salary with Lithuania, when we render such services to people here?
