Inflation in Belarus at 2.7% in 2017 so far, the best figure in sovereign history

On October 17, the Council of Ministers said inflation in Belarus was at 2.7% as of September 2017, which is the best figure in the sovereign history of Belarus. The government discussed the economic development of the country from January to September 2017.

Real incomes of the population increased during the reporting period, however, the schedule for increasing salaries was not fully implemented.

This is still to be done by the end of 2017. In addition, the Council of Ministers promised to consider salaries for certain categories of state employees. In general, the economic situation at the meeting was characterized as stable.

GDP growth for the first nine months amounted to 101.7%, which corresponds to the annual value of the forecast.

Vladimir Zinovsky, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus:
Industry worked well, 106.1%. Out agriculture did well - 101.7%. Wholesale trade worked decently and retail trade is growing. Of course, the construction and installation work is lagging behind, they do not fit in the forecast parameters, with only 93.8%. The construction industry should make up for lost time.

Not all regions have mechanisms for housing subsidies. The Prime Minister instructed to figure out the reasons for such a situation.
