Belarus' Economy Minister goes to USA to meet with World Bank

The preparation of a new partnership strategy between Belarus and the World Bank will be discussed in Washington. Belarus' Minister of Economy Vladimir Zinovsky went on a working visit to the United States.

In the coming days, the capital of the USA will host the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, in which the Belarusian side traditionally participates.

The forum is also a convenient platform for coordinating positions on topical issues of cooperation. The Belarusian Minister is scheduled to meet with key partners. It is expected that, during negotiations with the Vice-President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, an agreement will be signed, under which the corporation will allocate a credit line to Belarus to support small and medium-sized businesses.
