Belarus, Azerbaijan to actively develop interregional cooperation

Belarus and Azerbaijan will actively be developing interregional development. This was discussed on October 11 in the Council of the Republic.

Mikhail Myasnikovich met with his Azerbaijani colleague –the chairman of Milli Mejlis Ogtay Asadov.

Political trust and trade-economic relations have been established between Belarus and Azerbaijan a long time ago. It is planned to expand industrial cooperation, so that it is possible to enter markets of other countries with Belarusian-Azerbaijani products.

Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
The issues we were discussing today and the issues which are left, they are of concrete nature and directed at perfecting work of parliamentary contacts. We spoke much about scientific and technical cooperation.

I suppose that we need to continue cooperation in industry and other sectors, which have proved their value.

Ogtay Asadov, Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan:
It was suggested to establish a scientific fund in parliamentary structures. We agreed and support the idea. I hope that in the nearest time such a group will work on creating this fund. We will involve Science Academies of our countries, and we will develop in this direction.

It is for the sake of security, for the sake of development of our countries.
