Alexander Lukashenko off to Russia’s Sochi for CIS, EEU summits

The President of Belarus has gone on a working visit to the Russian Federation. There Alexander Lukashenko will partake in the CIS and EAE summits. The plane of the Belarusian leader took off from Minsk National Airport.

The agenda of the CIS summit is fruitful. Some 20 issues are planned to be discussed on October 11. All of them are directed at the development of political, economic, cultural and humanitarian sectors. The announcement on supporting the family institute and traditional family values will be made. The draft of the CIS Convention on research cooperation and peaceful uses of outer space will also be discussed. Traditionally, issues directed at combating new challenges and threats are on the agenda. Issues concerning information support, customs control, competition, natural monopolies, and industrial cooperation will also be touched upon. The presidents will be reported on the EAEU Customs Code.
