Belarus's gold and foreign exchange reserves exceed $7.2bn

The gold and currency reserves of Belarus have hit the four-year maximum, exceeding 7.2 billion US dollars.

The positive dynamism is primarily due to the loan from the Russian government in the amount of $700 million, as well as receipts from export duties on oil and oil products.

Over 9 months of 2017, the country's gold reserve grew by more than $2.3 billion, an increase of almost 1.5 times.
