Stolichnoe Televidenie Channel aiming at 4K quality in coming years

CTV Channel is switching to HD format from October 2. What are the pros and cons of this transition? What is a high-quality image?

Konstantin Avramenko, Deputy General Director of ZAO Stolichnoe Televidenie:
Like any modernization process it is always complex, accompanied by some difficulties. Everything new and unfamiliar scares you. It frightens many people and that's natural. Nevertheless, we are in a new standard, in a new quality. With a good image. As for me, it's difficult, but interesting!

What are the advantages now, in addition to the fact that now viewers can see our every detail?

Konstantin Avramenko, Deputy General Director of ZAO Stolichnoe Televidenie:
Television is in itself an invitation to the viewer to be inside the picture. "Come to visit us!" we say. The more realistic it is, the more interesting it is to watch.

Stolichnoe Televidenie covers the most important events of the country at the highest professional level. Not only for TV viewers, but also for ordinary viewers is it clear that the transition to HD quality is difficult not only from the creative point of view, but also from the point of view of technology. Today, technology is developing so rapidly that sometimes it seems that we just cannot keep up with it, we not to have time to master it all. How is it possible? What are the plans for the future?

Konstantin Avramenko, Deputy General Director of ZAO Stolichnoe Televidenie:
In 2018, the CTV Channel plans to update the mobile television station. Of course, we will take into account new technologies.

In the future, we still plan to master 4K technology. I think in the near future we may start broadcasting in 4K. Of course, this will not be possible in a year or two, it's not that easy. But this must be taken into account now.
