National Center of Legal Information celebrates 20th anniversary

The Center has been has been collecting, holding records, processing, keeping and systematizing data for 25 years in independent Belarus. It also analyzes the law, provides maintenance of register and coordinates the work of state authorities.

Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the employees of the center with the celebration. The congratulations were read out on September 29 by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valery Mitskevich.

Yevgeny Kovalenko, director of the National Center of Legal Information:
Major efforts have been carried out in these 20 years in the sector of informational support, implementing modern information technologies. The implementation of official publishing of the made decisions in electronic format is being provided.

Currently, the Center poses the only unique resource, which includes more than 250 thousand normative legal acts, juridical practice documents, and law-enforcement decisions.

Among the main tasks of the Center are development of advanced technologies, scientific research, exchange of experience on the intergovernmental level, and access of people to legal information.
