Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz: Today people often live as if God does not exist

The dialogue on the present and future of Europe continued in Minsk September 29. At the negotiating table are scores the highest Catholic bishops of the 39 states of the Old World.

Minsk is hosting such a high religious forum for the first time. The main topics of the dialogue of the clergy is peace, spirituality, youth and its role in modern society.

Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, Metropolitan of Minsk-Mogilev Diocese:
Today, people often live as if God does not exist. As if God is somewhere on the periphery. Today, some say that I believe in God, but they are Gods themselves, they believe in themselves, in their strength, especially in the development of science, culture, technology and so on.

However, we see it does not solve the problems that we face. We must work together to respond to these problems.

One of the reasons for the visit of the high representatives of the Catholic world is inter-denominational peace in Belarus. The hierarchs visited the Minsk Holy Spirit Cathedral, where they were received by the Primate of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
