On the day of the meeting, the Belarusian footballer Alexander Hleb, who played for Arsenal from 2005 to 2008, posted a joint photo with Arsene Wenger on his Instagram page.

In an exclusive interview with the CTV program "Sports Week", Alexander Hleb admitted that the time spent at Arsenal was unforgettable. He said back then he really wanted to play and show great results. He has had warm memories about working with the head coach of the club - Arsene Wenger, who has held this position since 1996.

Arsenal also preapred a gift for Alexander Hleb and his child - an Arsenal kit with his surname.

Arsene, however, criticized Hleb's decision to leave Arsenal for Barcelona, which was negative for his career. Hleb struggled to get into the star-studded Barca team and made just 19 La Liga appearances, shunted out on loan to Stuttgart and Wolfsburg. He then played for Krylia Sovetov and had three spells for BATE Borisov, who back then played in European cups.
