Minsk most popular among Russian tourists, ahead of Astana and Baku

Minsk is becoming a tourist mecca for Russians, according to the results of a special poll. This fall, the Belarusian capital outscored Astana and Baku. The rating was made by one of the Russian analytical agencies. According to experts, tourists stay in Minsk on average for two and a half days.

Svetlana Demeshko, deputy head of the Sports and Tourism Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee:
This is facilitated by the decision taken in February 2017, on visa-free entry. To date, over 50,000 tourists have arrived via the National Airport to Minsk.

They are tourists from 67 countries. Minsk is the most popular city among German tourists, then go Poles and Italians. This is very pleasing and we are making various efforts to make the city even more popular.

Soon the Minsk Guest Map will help you better settle in the Belarus capital. An interactive guidebook will appear already in 2017. It will include information about the sights of Minsk, museums, theaters, hotels and restaurants. By the way, users of the portal will be able to use the services at a discount.
