Belarus sends humanitarian aid to Syria

On September 25 at the Kolyadichi station, the cargo was put in containers: food, children's clothes and footwear, as well as equipment.

This is the third humanitarian campaign of Belarus addressed to Syria.

This time the cargo will be delivered by train to the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda, and then by sea to Syrian Latakia.

Alexander Khudoleev, Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus:
Within a month, it is planned to deliver a humanitarian cargo to the port of Latakia of the Syrian Arab Republic. Subsequently, it will be distributed among the population. The Ministry of Emergency Situations more than 50 times carried out the delivery of humanitarian goods to different countries and has, accordingly, quite a lot of experience. In addition, the humanitarian cargo includes three dump trucks, which will be delivered within a little more than a month. Shipment will be carried out in the near future, directly from the MAZ plant.

The total value of the cargo is about $250,000.

It will be taken to refugee camps, orphanages and hospitals. Belarus supports Syria in the international arena in the fight against terrorism. Syrian children have recently visited Belarus for recuperation on the instruction of the Belarus President. The President instructed to develop a program of recuperation, treatment and study in Belarus.
