Foreigners to be allowed to stay in Belarus without registration for 10 days

There will be more visa-free territories in Belarus now: the railway station, the airport in Grodno and part of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha will be added to the already visa-free Augustow channel.

On September 25, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of Belarus said foreigners will be able to stay in Belarus without registration for 10 days instead of current five. It is also considering the introduction of a 30-day visa-free regime for guests from China.

Mikhail Portnoy, Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus:
In November, during the "16 + 1" summit at the level of prime ministers, the Year of Tourism in the People's Republic of China and in Belarus will be announced.

Everything will be included there, starting with logistics and finishing with accommodation and information support.

These changes will help attract tourists - especially those who are interested in sports and recreation. The five days that travelers have now is sometimes not enough for a full course of procedures or, say, a visit to long-term sporting events.
