Belarusian plants must reconsider distribution network management abroad

This was stated by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus on September 19, 2017.

According to Alexander Konyuk, the organizations themselves do not control their partners enough, therefore external receivables have occurred, the total of which is more than half a billion dollars. The ways of solving the problem have been discussed on September 19. Workers of the Prosecutor’s Office, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and leading manufacturers of Belarus were at the negotiating table.

Alexander Konyuk, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus:
I understand that there is economic process and there is always some risk, when a counterparty signs a deal on supplying products with another counterparty. There can be an economic situation: someone went bankrupt, stopped existing. Such problems can arise. However, I am concerned about the crime situation, when a deal is fraud, when corruption risks are present.

Next week the General Prosecutor General’s Office will hold an analogue meeting with distribution networks abroad in Moscow, where the possibility of giving the debts back to Belarusian plants by Russian companies will be discussed.
