HC Dinamo Minsk get dramatic win over Metallurg in KHL

The spectators who gathered on the stands of Minsk-Arena on September 17 witnessed one of the most spectacular comebacks in the history of Dinamo Minsk.

The home game against Magnitogorsk's Metallurg promised to be another loss as Dinamo were trailing 0:3. Moreover, it was former Bison player Matt Ellison who scored one of the goals for the Magnitka. But in the final stanza the hosts turned the game around and created a real miracle.

47 minutes - Alexander Kitarov scores. Two minutes later Alexander Pavlovich makes it 2:3.

A little more time passed, and Kitarov made a double, thereby restoring parity in the match. 45 seconds before the buzzer, Yevgeny Lisovets brought The Bison in front for the first time in the match. Minsk Arena exploded with joy.

The final strike came from Pavlovich at 59:59. He sent the puck into an empty net for the final 5:3 score.

Alexander Pavlovich, forward of HC Dinamo Minsk:
During the first two periods we did not work in line with the plan. We finally found it in the third period. They stopped playing and we scored good goals. We worked as a team.

Alexander Kitarov, forward of HC Dinamo Minsk:
We talked quietly in the locker room. We understood what we need to do and agreed what to do. And then we just did it.
