International observers arrive in Belarus for West 2017 military drills

The invited international observers to the West 2017 military drills have arrive in Belarus.



As many as two specialists each from Norway, Poland, the Baltic States, Sweden and Ukraine. They are to visit the ranges, where the preparations for the active phase of the drills have finished. All the key positions have been disguised and the engineer equipment has been codified. Additional security has been organized-everything as during a real battle. The task is not just to repel the attack but not to lose soldiers as well.

New forms of security are being used-drones are used by both Russia and Belarus, both in the day time and at night time, 24 hours per day.

The active phase of the drills will last till 20 September. The most important tactical and battle exercises will be carried out in the period- combating aviation and assault teams of an indicated enemy.
