BATE play out draw against Crvena Zvezda in Europa League

FC BATE drew the starting match of group H of Europa League versus Crvena Zvezda - 1:1.

The match, which took place in Belgrade at the Rajko Mitić stadium turned out to be quite interesting. The Belarusian team tried to play reliably in defense. Moreover, manager Alexander Ermakovich's BATE were not considered favorites. Serbian football players had more ball possession while the Borisov club tried to play on counterattacks. However, in the 54th minute, the visitors conceded a goal from Nemanja Radonjic after a stunning cross.

After the goal, Crvena Zvezda lost control of the ball, and BATE had advantage. Dangerous attacks and promising combinations smelled like a gual and this proved true. In one of the episodes in the 72nd minute, Crvena Zvezda's defense broke.

Mirko Ivanic made a neat cross from the right which found sub Nikolai Signevich, who beat the Serbian club's goalie for the 1:1 final score

Arsenal hosted Koln in another match of Group H. It was postponed for an hour because of the behavior of thousands of fans of the German club who tried to get to the stadium without tickets. The club from Germany scored an early unexpected goal thanks to a long-range strike over Ospina by John Cordoba on 9 minutes. In the second half, Arsenal scored three unanswered goals though the efforts of Sead Kolašinac, Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin.

In the second round of Europa League, BATE will host Arsenal on September 28, while Koln will play at home against Crvena Zvezda.
