Belarus, China to produce engines in Great Stone Industrial Park

Joint production of engines will be established by Minsk Automobile plant and a Chinese company in the Great Stone Industrial Park.

The building of the plant is planned for the nearest two years. The power of it is up to 20 thousand engines per year. It will allow to satisfy the necessities of Belarusian producers of cargo, passenger, special and agricultural machinery.

A document on mutual cooperation was signed at the Council of Ministers on September 13, 2017.

Other directions of cooperation were discussed at the meeting with the delegation from the Chinese province of Shandong. Including the export of Belarusian food products: dairy, children’s food, poultry, drinks. As the Prime Minister has stated, the possibilities of railway transportation are not involved to their full. This issue is to be looked into by the partners more thoroughly.

The two sides are planning to declare the year of 2018 as the year of tourism between Belarus and China.

Belarus is interested in expanding cooperation with your province on the whole range of issues. From providing transit on the One Belt, One Way direction and cooperation in the sectors of tourism and education, and ending with establishment of joint high-tech production lines in the Great Stone Industrial Park, the most important intergovernmental project.

Belarus and China have been developing interregional cooperation very actively lately. The province of Shandong is located on the Eastern coast of China. This important industrial and agricultural region is one of the most economically developed in the country.
