India’s Foreign Minister about trade, economic cooperation potential with Belarus

India is a very prospective country, which, according to Alexander Lukashenko, will be determining the future planets in the nearest time.

Belarus President in India: It's time for concrete projects

The Foreign Ministries of Belarus and India must become a motivating force for economic relations. This was discussed at the meeting with the Foreign Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
If the two ministers assume this function, if they play their role in strengthening of the relations between Belarus and India, believe me: we will reach a very high level of our relations very soon. We do have something to offer each other. If we look back at the past (even the recent past, the development of sovereign Belarus), we never had any problems in relations with India. And there will be no problems in the future. However, to make the building of our friendship strong, it is necessary to provide a strong foundation, that is, to strengthen the foundation of our relations. This foundation is trade and economic relations.

Sushma Swaraj, Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of India:
This is your third visit to India; however, it has a special meaning, because we are marking the 25th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Belarus. Close historic and cultural ties have been established between Belarus and India. However, the trade and economic potential is not realized to its full.
