Belarus' Development Bank donates 17 new MAZ buses to rural schools

As many as 17 buses for pupils of rural schools were donated on September 4 by the Development Bank to various regions of Belarus. The vehicles were transferred in line with the program School Bus, which provided for the production of 300 buses over 5 years.

It is planned that by November 2017, 44 more buses will be sent to regions.

Sergei Rumas, Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus:
Often when visiting regions, it is very pleasant when you meet a bus carrying a beautiful school logo on the roads. The logo "Program of the Development Bank". I think that in the near future we will receive an instruction from the head of state on such a large-scale program, which we will also implement during 4-5 years.

Dmitry Katerinich, General Director of OAO MAZ:
For this program we first developed bus 241. And then, considering the climatic conditions in Belarus, we developed a new bus, model 257. It was decided to purchase these buses for each agro-town in the Republic of Belarus.

MAZ will export the new model of school buses with credit support from the Development Bank. The enterprise is negotiating for supplies to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
