Belarus President receives report from KGB Chairman

On September 4, Alexander Lukashenko received a report from the KGB chairman Valery Vakulchik. The KGB head reported on the operational situation and potential challenges and threats that may affect the national security.

International cooperation in the field of combating cross-border crime has become another topic of discussion. 

The scope of responsibility of the KGB includes, among other things, combating terrorism, drug trafficking, and illegal arms trade. The protection of the economic interests of Belarus was also discussed. 

Following the results of the report and analysis of the current situation in Belarus the President gave a number of specific instructions.
