Nikolai Lukashenko partakes in charity run to support seriously ill children

A charity run was held in Ostroshitsky Gorodok. A couple of hundred of participants, including the youngest son of the President Nikolai Lukashenko, he run the distance to support seriously ill children.

This charity campaign is held all over the country. The participants of it must run 100 thousand kilometers. If Belarusians reach the target distance, the organizers of the campaign will transfer money to the State Institution “Republican Children Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation” for every meter the participants overcome.

Galina Rodionova, head doctor of the State Institution “Republican Children Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation”:
I would like to thank all Belarusians. We really need a biochemical analyzer, because we have children with blood illnesses. It is oncology and oncohematology. It is quite often that we need to do tests urgently, so that the doctor has information about his patient. We are planning to buy a robotic exercise machine, which will make the necessary muscles work.

Olga Nazarova, two-time bronze medalist of the World Biathlon Championship, multiple champions of the Summer Biathlon Championship:
Unfortunately, there are many children with problems, and there are parents who have been left one to one with their problems. I would first like to wish them health, recuperation, and great patience to parents, support from their relatives and people around.

This run is part of the grand marathon which will last till September 4. Everyone can partake in it. It is only necessary to register in the social networks.
