Belarus to take part in meeting of EaP and Visegrad Group foreign ministers

Belarus will take part in the meeting of foreign ministers of countries participating in the EU initiative Eastern Partnership and the Visegrad Group. The forum kicks off in Budapest on August 31.

Belarus will be represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei. The countries will look into regional cooperation as well as the preparation of the Summit "Eastern Partnership" which will be held in Brussels in November 2017.

Vladimir Makei is scheduled to meet Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, as well as the foreign ministers of other countries.

Visegrad Group brings together four Central European countries - Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. These countries are also part of the Eastern Partnership Initiative, which main objective is to strengthen integration ties between the EU and other countries.
