3D reconstruction project presented in National History Museum

The mightiness and the spirit of the “golden era” of the Belarusian history through architecture.

The unique project VKL 3D was presented in the National History Museum of Belarus. Now everyone can visit the Kreva and the Golshany Castles and look at the whole exposition. In order for the 3d reconstruction to be reliable, hard work with archived materials has been carried out: old drawings, scientific publications and data of excavations were studied. The “effect of presence” was reached thanks to stereo effects.

Oleg Ryzhkov, Director of the National History Museum of the Republic of Belarus:
The main task of this project is popularization, and inspiration for studying the history of these castles, the history of the owners of these castles, the history of these eras. This project gives 100% feeling of presence there; it is a sin not to know where you are. It makes you want to take books and study the material. And to visit these places in a state they are in today.

The exposition will be permanent. The organizers are planning to expand it in the future. The next historic landmark where one will be able to take a walk in the Bely Kovel Castle.
