Belarusian Mi-26 extinguishes fire in Borjomi Gorge

A helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus is returning from Georgia. It has dropped almost 1000 tons of water into a forest fire in Borjomi Gorge.

On August 28, the Belarusian rescue team has left Borjomi, where forest fire raged, and headed to the airport in Kutaisi. Here, the board will be prepared for the flight to Belarus.

The world's largest cargo helicopter, Mi-26 was required to extinguish a big fire.

It took the crew a week to eliminate the threat. Belarusian rescuers were sent to Georgia on the order of the Belarus President. 

The Georgian leadership expressed its gratitude to the Republic of Belarus for assistance in the liquidation of the emergency situation.
