Details of Belarus’ plane incident in South Sudan

A special commission has been established due to the incident with a Belarusian plane in South Sudan. The representatives of the commission fle to the airport of Entebbe, where the damaged airplane is at the moment.

The Il-76 plane was performing a humanitarian mission under the aegis of the United Nations.

According to the provisional data, the landing gear got damages during the landing in the capital of South Sudan because of the collision with a tree and a metal roof of a residential house. After the plane started to take off, another house was damaged by the reactive air drag. The captain of the plane made a decision to veer off and make an emergency landing in the airport of the neighboring Uganda. Investigation has begun

When landing, the plane got into a storm rainfall, the visibility was very poor. The captain of the plane made a decision to make a second circle. According to the words of the crew, when doing the second circle, they felt a collision. In line with the international rules, the investigations are carried out by the authorities of the country in which the accident had happened.

Allegedly, a child died as a result of the incident, four people have been admitted to hospital.
