Alexander Lukashenko about modernization of milk production complexes by end of 2018

Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting with the directors of the economic block of Belarus. The social and economic results of the first half of 2017 have been summed up in the Independence Palace on August 22.

Belarus is going through an important period for food security – the harvesting campaign. The President demanded to avoid slurs and sarcasm. The Building of storages for cattle feed and milk production complexes were among the subjects of discussion during the meeting.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
It is our greatest achievement, that we took these milk production complexes under control in time. Some people in the parliament think (they think it in the National Bank as well) that spending money on some farms is a task of ten years’ importance, and it is unnecessary. It is all losses. If it did not exist in the country today, we wouldn’t have had agriculture today.

Today milk is profitable, and as a whole, at the modernized milk production complexes, the quality of dairy material is high, from which we make perfect dairy products, which is popular worldwide. It saturated the market. And it is money.

The building and modernization of old milk production complexes need to be finished by the end of 2018, and where we have planned to, to provide the complexes with feed of high quality.

The President had once again paid attention to creation of new models of Belarusian combine harvesters. Belarus should have its own machinery, better then foreign analogues, and produce necessary engines at Minsk Motor Plant. Belarusian plants must create a modern machine. This issue is under special control of the President.
