Belarusian food stand opens in supermarket in Chinese Hubei

Economic Belt of the Silk Road in action. On August 18 a Belarusian food stand opened in China's Wuhan, in one of the largest supermarkets of the city. The stand in Hubei Province features Belarusian dairy, juices, and chocolate. Taking part in the opening ceremony was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kiryl Rudy.

Hubei Province is one of the most economically developed and densely populated in China. Since 2017, there have been weekly supplies of dairy products from Belarus' Brest region. Talks are underway on the establishment of a large logistics center in the south of Belarus Hubei investors.

Kiryl Rudy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China:
I think that the companies of Hubei Province not only have to build, but also produce in this park, that is, open production centers. Therefore, the potential lies precisely in the opening of production facilities in the joint Chinese-Belarusian park by a company from Hubei Province, from the city of Wuhan. This year we planned a big political visit to Wuhan. Our business circles, our leadership of the Council of the Republic will take part in it. During this visit, we will carefully consider all possibilities.

Deliveries of this product became possible thanks to the use of rail container trains that run between China and Europe.
