National Day of Belarus held at EXPO 2017 in Astana

The National Day of Belarus took place on August 13 at the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana. The guests of the forum saw the latest Belarusian scientific and technical developments and evaluated investment projects.

The exposition featured an electric bus and a prototype of a gas-fueled MAZ bus designed by the Education Ministry, the Industry Ministry, and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, strong multi-purpose power supply sources of the fifth technological paradigm, energy efficient materials and technologies, etc.

Besides, Belarus plans to present some investment projects, including the projects to build the Beshenkovichi hydro-electric power station on the Zapadnaya Dvina River and a new ethylene-propylene production facility at OAO Naftan. The operators of the pavilion plan to also show multimedia presentations and video clips featuring Belarusian projects and innovations.

The exhibition EXPO 2017 is held under the slogan "Energy of the Future". More than 110 states are taking part in it.
