More than 5 million tons of grain harvested in Belarus

Belarusian farmers have removed about 65% of the areas. Today the mark of 5 million tons of grain has been exceeded.

The expected harvest of grain in 2017 is 8 million tons without taking into account corn. The harvesting is coming to an end in the Brest region - 90% of the area has been cropped. The southern region of the country has given more than 1 million tons of grain.

The Minsk region, a bit to the north, has managed to harvest a bit more and is now the leader in the country. The Gomel and Grodno regions are approaching the millionth mark. By the way, the Grodno region has recorded the highest yield - 44.3 centners per hectare. More and more grain is harvested in the north of the country - the Vitebsk region. The harvesting campaign in Belarus will be completed this week.
