Dinamo Minsk knocked out of Europa League 2017/18

FC Dinamo Minsk have finished their European League campaign losing to Cyprus' AEK on aggregate in the third qualifying round.

At Minsk’s Traktor stadium on August 3, Dinamo drew 1:1 and left the tournament.

Immediately after the break Dinamo increased the tempo and Yuri Ostroukh was awarded a penalty in the 46th minute, Anton Saroka scoring from the spot for 1:0.

After that, the Minskers fully owned the initiative, created several excellent opportunities, but failed to succeed once again.

At the very end of the game, on the 3rd added minute, AEK took advantage of the fact that Dinamo goalie Sergei Ignatovich ran to help his side in the attack and equalized 1:1.

FC BATE thus remains the only club that can continue playing in European competitions. Having lost to Prague's Slavia on aggregate BATE will now wait for the Friday draw of the Europa League qualification playoff.
