Growth of people's incomes is one of priority tasks in Belarus, Marianna Shchetkina says

The growth of people’s incomes is one of the priority tasks in Belarus. After all, this directly determines the demographic dynamics in the country, said Deputy Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Marianna Shchetkina.

Also, there is active work to balance the work-family formula. It especially concerns young couples who aspire to succeed in their careers and also have children.

Marianna Schetkina, Deputy Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, National Coordinator for achieving the sustainable development goals:
The most important wealth is, of course, the people of this country. But ensuring that people have more children is also a trend in the world, and our programs aim to improve the situation in this area.

At the same time Belarus has a very high number of preschool facilities: almost 100% of children are provided with places in these institutions.
