Michael Morgulis about helping victims of Ukraine crisis

Michael Morgulis, Honorary Consul of Belarus in the State of Florida (USA), theologian and political scientist in the TV program Simple Questions with Yegor Khrustalev.

What do you think, is the point of no return gone through? And we will never return to the situation we had?

Michael Morgulis, Honorary Consul of Belarus in the State of Florida (USA), theologian, political scientist:
The problem is that it was a big temptation for two nations. It is not the people’s fault; it is the fault of those, who lead the people. There was propaganda from the two sides.

What am I going to Donetsk for now?

Because some Ukrainian soldiers are being held hostage there, there are ill people; I want to take them back with me. I think that I managed to agree with the authorities of the republic…

I was wondering, and I thought that that they do not like you much in Kyiv, because you visit the Donetsk and Lugansk regions often.

Michael Morgulis, Honorary Consul of Belarus in the State of Florida (USA), theologian, political scientist:
No, they understand that I have no benefits or political intentions. I feel sorry for both the sides. I never say that I am a diplomat; I usually say that I am going to the kids.

And I do not give the humanitarian aid, no bribes, nothing.

When I visit the area, I say that one person taught me to love children, to love people. And that I am going to help their children. I tell the soldiers that I must love them as well, because they are not only soldiers, they are the creation of God.
