Belarus promises to meet UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030

Belarus will do everything necessary to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals within the framework of the UN program by 2030.

These are 17 points with the general idea of "not leaving anyone out."

The implementation of the project should improve the quality of life in the world. Social inequality, security and climate problems, as well as poverty alleviation - all this is the joint work of 193 countries in the framework of "Agenda 2030". Marianna Schetkina has recently been appointed the national coordinator in this direction in Belarus.

Marianna Schetkina, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, National Coordinator for achieving the sustainable development goals:
Today the question arose about the fact that our planet should be in order. How to do it? By 2030 all the states committed themselves to undertaking these commitments to work on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In order to organize this work it was necessary to create a national mechanism. It is very important that no country can now remain alone.

These are global tasks that can only be solved by cooperating and developing integration.

For Belarus, this program is the logical development of the Millennium Goals.

Belarus completed this project two years ago.

Later at the summit in New York, Agenda 2030 was adopted. Back then Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko addressed the UN General Assembly.
