Belarus, Russia plan joint distant sensing satellite launch by 2021

The Belarusian-Russian distant sensing satellite is planned to be launched by 2021. Scientists of the two countries are already working on it creation.

There will be new materials and processing technologies used in the cosmic apparatus. The weight of the satellite will be around one ton. When foreign analogues weigh 2.5 times more. About 200 thousand US dollars are necessary for the innovative project. The apparatus will be included into the Belarus-Russia orbital network of satellites and will expand the sphere of cosmic information usage.
